Dong Sama Festival in Rongjiang

　　Sama Festival-one of the important festivals of Dong, the Dong Sama Festival in Rongjiang of this year will be held from Dec 18 to Dec 20 in Chejiang Dong village, Rongjiang county.

　　Sama or Sasui is a former heroine among the Dong in the past. Many Dong villages now have a Sama temple, so the Sama festival is to worship the ancestor-the mother heroine, during the festival, local Dong women and men in gala dress visit the Sama(Sasui) temple, then they play Lusheng( a kind of bamboo flute musical instrument) and dance around the drum tower or at the flat square near the drum tower.
